This volume deals with the complex but poorly understood relationship between women, gender, and language in Morocco, a Muslim, multilingual, multicultural, and developing country. " Studies in Berber Syntax " is written in English by Fatima Sadiqi. It was published in 1986 by Königshausen and Neumann (Germany). The book is the first (English-written) analysis on Berber syntax in Morocco. It is based on the author’s PhD thesis ‘The Complex Sentence in Berber: a Syntactic Study” which was completed under the supervision of late Professor David Kilby in 1982.
